Flutter Melbourne March Hack Night

This is the very first Flutter Melbourne Hack Night !

This is a combined GDG Melbourne, Flutter Melbourne & CocoaHeads hack night, so you only need to RSVP on one of these event pages !

Hack Night is all about everyone learning, collaborating, sharing tips, tricks and very few presentations ... it's all about the code ! Everyone is welcome to our all-ages alcohol-free event.

If you are just starting with Flutter we'll help you with:

• Setup up your development tools and start your first project
• Answer your questions and help you resolve problems
• Get you to the next phase of your project

6:00 pm - Doors open at Level 6 / 15 William street, Melbourne. Please arrive by 6:30, after that the lifts are locked out and you will not be able to get to level 6 !

6:20 pm - Hack Night kick off

6:30 pm - Flutter Melbourne

• Flutter Introduction
• News (quick review of the big news)

7:00 pm - Dinner / Snacks / Drinks

• Show & Tell Sessions (upto 15 min showing screens & code)

• Mike Hughes - Onboarding experiences
• Kendall Patrice - Handshake Xamarin app converted to Flutter
• Bramley Turner-Jones - Android app re-implemented in Flutter
• Open to the group

• Group share of tips & tricks

We'll then break so everyone can pair up work on their own projects.

8:30 pm - Start to wrap up

• What to bring:

• Your laptop and any other devices or hardware you need for your project
• Pre installed development tools like Android Studio / VS Code, but we can help you with this if you are having problems

• Venue

Hack night is hosted in a professional environment to allow you to work on your own project. Experts, colleagues and peers are on hand to help you out with problems and to collaborate on projects.

If anyone needs an accessible entrance to the lobby that doesn't involve stairs please message this group or Mike and we can provide guidance.
