Site Visit: Design at TD 55 Technology Centre

Join us for a session with the design team at this fine new centre of innovation. The TD Lab design team will walk us through the journey of bringing their Family Allowance app to life.

Who's David?

David Janik-Jones has been a practising designer for nearly 25 years, working in boutique design studios and large multi-national branding and advertising agencies throughout North America and the Caribbean. During that time, David has won numerous regional and national design awards, for work in the fields of typography, print design, and user experience design. Over those 25 years he has also spent time mentoring university design students, and providing feedback for final-year design student competitions. He joined TD Lab early in 2016 to fill the role of Lead UX designer for TD Lab Accelerator. A former member of the Society of Graphics Designers of Canada (SGDC), in his spare time he publishes boardgames through his own start-up boardgame company. He currently lives in Waterloo, Ontario with his family and three cats.

Who is Kyryll

Kyryll Odobetskiy is pretty new to the KW area, having started with TD lab just over 7 months ago. Currently, Kyryll leads design and user research at the Incubator, where we prototype and test new banking experiences. Prior to that, Kyryll lived in Montreal for 3 years, working on a mobile team to bring cable and TV services online for companies like Bell, AMC and Telus. Whenever they get a chance, Kyryll and his wife love to travel and explore new places. Their latest adventure was exploring 9 countries and 36 cities in Europe over the course of 81 days.
