Unity Prayer: Creating a Practice that Works for You!

Does your prayer life really work for you? For many people, prayer can be a stale litany of the same old phrases or pleading with a God “out there” to grant requests. In this class we will explore how to leave the dogma behind and revolutionize your prayer practice!

This class will be using the book “How to Pray Without Talking to God” by Linda Martella-Whitsett to help you explore the nature of your own Divine Identity. We will experiment with a different prayer “stance” that actually empowers the Divinity within you. You will get to practice techniques such as affirmations, denials, and the Unity 5-Step prayer process to develop a daily spiritual practice that works for you. You will also learn how to pray with others in a way that supports their inner Divinity.

Unity’s Five Basic Principles - October 9 - Lesson Two

Living a spiritual life evolves from understanding a few universal principles that are available to us all. Our five basic Unity principles for Spiritual Living, invite us to explore on a deeper level, our Divine Nature. This coming Sunday we’ll review these five principles, work to further our understanding of them and then personalize them so that we each develop our own daily practice. Including an awareness of these principles in our daily lives will lead us into an experience of truly remarkable results on this positive path for spiritual living we call Unity.

You will discover what it means to live in true oneness and how to accept your own divinity. You’ll learn how to focus your thoughts to create your reality and how to remain in constant contact with the Divine through prayer and meditation. We’ll wrap it up exploring what it means to live the Truth you know.

Our October 2022 Theme: Unity: The Essential Elements

Whether you have a strong spiritual foundation, are just at the beginning of your spiritual journey, or do not believe in God at all, Unity offers spiritual insights and guidance for all people. While having its origins rooted in Christianity, the Unity teachings bring together ancient wisdom from many faith traditions. You will not find dogma in Unity, and we honor all spiritual paths. This month we will visit some of the essential elements found in Unity that help us all remain on this positive path for spiritual living and find our own answers within.
