We have a new adult co-ed soccer league, and we are inviting more players, both male and female, to join us. Players must be over 18, or between 16 and 18 if a parent and/or an older sibling also joins too. This is a relatively new league and, as such, we are far more flexible than most other leagues. For example, players have the choice to pay by the game (and play only those weeks that are convenient for them) for $10/game for males and $5/game for females, or to get a better deal by paying for the full season. If a player cannot play at the time of his or her game a given week, then that player can switch (for that week) to another team playing at a more convenient time. It is also expressly permitted to play more than one game in a day (and players who pay by the game do NOT need to pay twice when playing two games in the same day). But even with this flexibility, it is still not pick-up soccer. It is a real league, with a requirement that all players wear shin guards, plus refs, league standings, playoffs, and ultimately a champion. We have zero tolerance for dirty play or trash talking, or hot heads in general. So this league may not be suitable for dirty players, players who enjoy arguing with refs, players who like to yell at members of their own team for making mistakes, or highly competitive players looking for the most intense league around. That is not us. This league IS suitable for players of any skill level (even beginners, and we are happy to train new players, although we do also have some very good players too) who want to play without all the drama that may arise when some teams resort to gamesmanship. You may join as an individual and be assigned to an existing team, or as a group of friends and we will keep you together, or you can enter an entire team, as you prefer, and, as noted, you may join for the full season or only for certain games, as you prefer. One added bonus is that, like the German and British soldiers on Christmas Eve 1914, we too go out to get pizza (at Whole Foods) after the games, both teams together, for great food, friendship, and camaraderie. And the league pays for this pizza, so there is no cost to the players.
