  • Camping: Hendy Woods State Park (redwoods)

    Hendy Woods State Park

Our past camping trips have been SUPER fun, so we're doin' it again! This time, we're heading north to take a forest adventure in the redwoods. Join Four Corners Motorcycle Club for camping in Hendy Woods State Park from 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 (check-in) to 12:00 noon on Sunday, Aug. 18 (checkout) in the Wildcat campground loop, sites 76, 77, 79, and 82 (these are adjoining sites). FCMC members may bring guests. The campsites are charged to Shelley's credit card, so to confirm your participation, please PayPal $50.00 each person attending; her e-mail is [masked]. Each campsite accommodates 8 people (3 to 4 tents) comfortably. When the final headcount is taken on July 25 (based on the PayPal confirmations), we will determine the final "math" (cost/person). Where is Hendy Woods State Park? It's less than three hours from San Francisco in the heart of the Anderson Valley wine region. Two groves of towering redwood trees stretch more than 300 feet tall and are 1,000+ years old. Five miles of trails, including Big Hendy Grove’s wheelchair-accessible Discovery Trail, lead through the fern-filled forest. To reach the park, drive 8 miles northwest of Boonville on Highway 128. Turn left on Philo-Greenwood Road. In 0.5 miles, turn left at the Hendy Woods State Park sign and proceed 0.2 miles to the ranger station. Four vehicles, one for each site, are covered in the cost. We will sort out the parking situation on July 25 as well, since based on history, some folks come by moto and others by cage. By attending, you agree to the Club's terms: • Release of Liability (http://www.meetup.com/FourCornersMotorcycleClub/pages/Release_of_Liability/) • RSVP for the event
