Details

Tonight's Presentation Summary:

This is an introduction to using Vagrant ( https://www.vagrantup.com/ ) to set up a local development environment that mirrors your production server. This will help to avoid the "well it worked on my machine" issue. We will be going over the basics of what Vagrant is, the basic commands you will need to know, and the steps needed to get up and running for the first time. While the example will focus on the LAMP stack and PHP development, the steps and the process can easily be adapted for many languages and setups. While this presentation is targeted to those who have never used Vagrant before, for those who are already familiar with Vagrant I will also be discussing a couple of tools that I have found useful.

Presented by Christopher Snyder
