Mindful Yoga
Join us on Thursday evenings for an hour of mindful yoga in our beautiful colonial revival inn! This class is designed to bring you back into balance by calming the mind and opening the muscles, joints, & connective tissue. Instructor Kim Horstman focuses on deep breathing, slow movements, and proper alignment. The result is a peaceful balance of feeling both calm and uplifted. What you need: Comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and a yoga mat. We do have some spare mats available if you need to borrow one. What if I'm new to yoga? Some prior experience is recommended, but it's ok if you are new to yoga. This class is appropriate for all levels, and modifications will be offered. What we're about

The Frederick Inn Bed and Breakfast is a family-owned, elegant, and cozy environment. We're all about providing space for people to relax, getaway, and enjoy a little TLC! As part of our mission to create a uniquely holistic and revitalizing experience, we offer Yoga and Sound Healing to our guests as well as group classes that are open to the public. This Meet-up group will meet regularly for yoga classes and sound bath meditations inside the Inn's elegant parlors. Classes may also be offered on our lovely grounds during the summer.

Who's Teaching?
Our daughter, Kimberly, is a certified Yoga Teacher and Sound Healer. She has dedicated her career to holistic healing through mindfulness, yoga philosophy, yoga practice, sound therapy, and clean eating. After teaching in PA for three years, she has moved to the Frederick area to provide classes at the Inn. Her teaching style is slow-paced, alignment-based, breath-based, and informative...but that doesn't mean you won't still get a workout!

What Level are the Classes?
Kim's classes are open to all-levels. She offers multiple options throughout class in order to meet everyone's needs. Please just be mindful that this isn't a gentle yoga or chair yoga class. Participants should be able to sit on the floor, stand, and walk.

What do I need?
Comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, and a water bottle. The Inn does have some mats available if you need to borrow one.
