***As of 4/13: this workshop is at full capacity, so I am unable to accept new members. I will offer the class again in early June, so if interested, please let me know***
Hi! My name is Tammy and I am an MFA candidate at the University of San Francisco studying fiction. This semester I am offering a 5-week, completely free, local fiction workshop to the community. This would be great place for anyone interested in or passionate about writing to come and learn how to become a better storyteller in a workshop setting.
Have you ever had a cool idea and wanted to write about it but never did? Have you written fiction from before but haven't had the chance to get feedback on it yet? This class is the one for you. In this workshop , we will be reading excerpts of readings and discussing what we think about them together, as well as writing and critiquing each other's original work. The class will meet once a week on Saturday mornings in the SF Public Library or a coffee shop in the Divisadero/Fillmore area, and refreshments will be provided. Ideally, you will come out of this course having made new writing friends who will encourage you to keep writing, whether it's a hobby or a lifelong passion of yours.
If interested, please contact email@example.com. Tentative start date would be April 13th or 20th. Each workshop will be 2 hours long, starting from 10a.m. (TBD once I find a time and place that works for other members).
