For all of my working career I have free-lanced without having ever experienced being employed. I used this passion to connect people, in the health and fitness industry, applying my personal training and life coaching skills to encourage a healthier lifestyle.

Having decided it was time for a change from free-lancing; I opened up a Wellness Centre. While I had the gung-ho attitude, I was not aware how vital is was to have a clear vision, mission and referral system.

I joined a few networking groups, without realising there was a skill to networking, and it was more than just showing up. I didn’t know how to network strategically and found it challenging to generate profitable business through these events.

It was apparent that this was a skill that needed to be taught. One of the networks I joined was BNI (Business Network International), where I met Claudia Lowry, the Executive Director of BNI North Peninsula. We teamed up for a monthly BNI networking event, and through this we realized we worked well as a team.

In one of our discussions, I divulged what my ideal job would be, which happened to be exactly what Asentiv did. Claudia admitted that she had been looking for a business partner for Asentiv for just short of a year, and with that she offered me a Master Franchisee partnership for Asentiv South Africa.
