Taiji Quan (Tai Chi) or “Grand Ultimate Fist” is often described as “meditation in motion”. Wudang Taiji Quan, combines ancient Chinese wellness practices with traditional fighting techniques. Practiced slowly, Taiji Quan is a set of gently, flowing movements that focus on movement and breathing, creating a state of calm relaxation.  Taiji addresses the key components of fitness; muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and aerobic conditioning. When used as a martial arts, Taiji Quan specializes in uprooting the opponent, redirecting incoming force and using softness to overcome hardness. Rigorous scientific research has shown evidence that Taiji is helpful for several medical conditions, including: arthritis, low bone density, breast cancer, heart disease, hypertension, Parkinson’s Disease, sleep problems, and stroke.

Taiji can give you
the strength of a lumberjack,
the pliability of a child,
and the peace of mind of a sage.
