Almost every business has intellectual property, and needs to understand what copyright protects and what it doesn’t, what Trade Mark registration protects and what it doesn’t and so on. Also, those responsible need to know how to register and protect their IP. This presentation will teach us how intellectual property can protect you and help you profit from your business or your business idea. Networking afterwards Guest Speaker: Richard Gallafent is a chartered patent and trade mark attorney. He has been in private practice for over 40 years, advising a wide range of clients from individuals to multinationals on a wide range of Intellectual Property issues, and filing and prosecuting applications for patents and to register trade marks and designs. He is a past president of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, a co-author of “Intellectual Property Law and Taxation”, and was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion in 2013.
