Freethinkers Social March 12 Saturday Valley Hi Golf Course Restaurant

Details

Finally we are ready to rise out of the Covid era and boldly move forward into a safe, tolerant, enlightened and inclusive future. Yes, some adjustments may still be needed. But Freethinkers of Colorado Springs has always been about helping our society make those inclusive changes on the way to "liberty and justice for all".
Once again we'll be taking advantage of , and SUPPORTING, a civilian government provided facility. The Valley Hi Golf Course has been a Colorado Springs city owned and operated facility for decades. Part of it has always been a large restaurant and bar. The current chief's name is Cisco and the restaurant's private contractor operator is a young person named Yessee. They have been working on living their American Dream at this location since years before Covid, all thru Covid, and still hosting crowds from the community today. And they have lots of space for us to spread out, mingle in small groups, and come together for common experiences. There is no charge to attend this event. $.00 )
Unlike the "pot luck" events of our recent past, this venue promises a full service restaurant with wine and MIXED DRINKS, for those who still need a little help dealing with our new reality. Or you can step outside and let your worries go up in smoke.
And you can leave your pans and dishes and serving spoons at home, and not worry about losing them.
Our Grand Hall for the evening is reached from Chelton Road just south of Airport Road. But don't turn toward the mountains on Valley Hi Avenue. Look for a smaller sign with NO OUTLET on it and Valley Hi GC printed there. Then follow the long drive way, keeping to the right, until you reach the front door of the Restaurant. We will be in one of the smaller rooms on the far side of the building.
We'll probably have appetizers on the tables and drinks will be available. People can order other food whenever they like. And no one will be unhappy if your current diet for the evening is " coffee or tea only ", or maybe " liquids AND deserts".
The event will start at 5pm on Saturday, March 12, and end around 9 pm. Feel free to stop by later in the evening if it fits your schedule. And bring a friend or three.
We MUST have a good idea how many people we'll have at this event. If you think you MIGHT come, or you are sure you will, PLEASE click the RSVP button and tell us how many will be in your party. We don't usually ask for this, and many of our members don't use Meetup. We will probably have 20 to 40 people at this event, but a real up-front count would be very nice to get. If you would rather not post an RSVP here, send a text to 719-659-5075
