About

French Conversation (BEGINNER - A1)
·OnlineOnlineLEVEL: BEGINNER - A1 — 11am PT / 2pm ET
🌸 What is your favorite region of France? 🇫🇷🌻 - Provence is a unique region. Long independent, its cultural heritage draws inspiration from France, Italy, and even Greece if we go back to antiquity when Marseille was a Greek trading post. The quality of life enjoyed by its inhabitants is renowned worldwide, thanks in particular to the Mediterranean diet and the beauty of its colors and light, which have attracted so many artists throughout the centuries.
- Our trip to Provence in May 2027 will soon be announced! Get in touch, or register your interest on this page: https://www.frenchconversationgroup.com/provence
- 🎥 Last but not least, join us this Friday for an hour of Ciné-club conversation about Jean Giono's "L'Homme qui plantait des arbres", a splendid 30-minute French film that will immerse you right in the Provençal mindset. (Optional: before a film, it was a short book, ideal for practicing your French reading skills! 📚)
#### Preparation:
- watch this week's episode about Provence: https://youtu.be/8JKxQTCzPOE (Subtitles are available in French and English by clicking on the CC button on the YouTube control bar).

[ If sold out on Meetup, you may find more spots available for the same session at https://www.frenchconversationgroup.com ]
I have plenty of questions for you and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts. You're also encouraged to ask your own questions to the other participants.
☝️ The session is divided as such:
- Let’s introduce ourselves (10 minutes)
- Misc. & les news (10 minutes)
