Startups Meet Corporations

Thursday, May 26th[masked]:30PM – 8:30PM San Francisco

A smart city gathers data from smart devices and sensors embedded in its infrastructure and uses smart software to create valuable information and digitally enhanced services. For the city to be smart, it must be able to analyze the data, turn it into actionable knowledge and make smart decisions. A smart city is also smart because it makes citizens smarter, better informed and can improve their quality of life.

One main challenge for smart cities to take off though, is proper coordination among the public and private sector. How can the different players work together for the most efficient outcome? How can technology be properly implemented in a city and serve the needs of its inhabitants? How can you move away from pilot projects to a truly integrated smart city?

During this TechMeeting we will hear from leading research labs, innovative startups and large corporations on some of the following :

• Environmental sensors (air pollution, noise pollution, etc)

• Data analytics for urban planning, energy infrastructure and real-time intelligence

• Enhanced urban products and services (lighting, energy, etc.)
