Outdoor Sandbag Workout
Join us for an outdoor sandbag workout near the Chapel Hill Community Center / Bolin Creek Trail at 8:30am. We provide the sandbags - you bring a yoga mat/towel, water, and bug spray/sunscreen as needed. (If you have made a sandbag with us at one of our workshops, you can bring that and we'll use it!) About this workout: This workout will involve approximately 55-minutes of sandbag work! Accessible to all levels. The sandbags range in weight from 21 to 28 pounds on average. Feel free to bring your own sandbag if you have one you'd like to use, otherwise we have plenty to share with you! Definitely bring a towel or a mat to put between you and the wet grass, and plenty of water of course! Please always bring: Plenty of water to drink, a yoga mat or towel to use, sunscreen, bug spray, clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy. Bonus points for bringing a friend and a kick-ass enthusiastic attitude!

What we're about

This group meets on Sundays in Chapel Hill to do outdoor bootcamp-style conditioning workouts to improve our strength and endurance. Our workouts are moderate-to-high intensity and are great for general conditioning and fitness, or as the perfect compliment to your primary running, weightlifting, or sports routine.

All of our workouts are designed to meet the needs of both beginner and advanced participants. Almost every workout consists of time-based activities rather than counted reps (for example: "pushups for 45 seconds" instead of "do 15 pushups"). You'll never have to worry about holding the group back with these types of workouts! Everyone will get to give their 100%, whatever that is for each person!

If you have any questions about our group or workouts, please don't hesitate to email me! We hope you'll join our growing workout family soon!
