Join us for an outdoor tabata-style workout in the grassy area near the Chapel Hill Community Center / Bolin Creek Trail. Bring a yoga mat for this one! And water! Questions? Just ask! About this workout: This workout will be comprised of a number of 4minute tabatas (20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest, repeat 8 times). You will be expected to work at 110% effort during the 20seconds doing things like push-ups, burpees, jumping jacks, squat jumps, high knees, ab work, you name it! Definitely bring a towel or a mat to put between you and the ground, and plenty of water. This workout is suited for all ability levels because it is entirely time-based/individual. That doesn't mean it will be easy - but it will be at just the right level for you! Please always bring: Plenty of water to drink, a yoga mat or towel to use in the wet/cold grass, sunscreen, clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy. Bonus points for bringing a friend and a kick-ass enthusiastic attitude!
*SPECIAL* Please bring a roll of duct tape to help repair/reinforce our stock of sandbags before our workout begins. I will bring a few spare rolls as well and we will get them all nice and newly taped up! ------------------------ Join us for an outdoor sandbag workout near the Chapel Hill Community Center / Bolin Creek Trail. We provide the sandbags - you bring a yoga mat/towel, water, and bug spray/sunscreen as needed. (If you have made a sandbag with us at one of our workshops, you can bring that and we'll use it!) About this workout: This workout will involve approximately 55-minutes of sandbag work! Accessible to all levels. The sandbags range in weight from 21 to 28 pounds on average. Feel free to bring your own sandbag if you have one you'd like to use, otherwise we have plenty to share with you! Definitely bring a towel or a mat to put between you and the wet grass, and plenty of water of course! Please always bring: Plenty of water to drink, a yoga mat or towel to use, sunscreen, bug spray, clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy. Join us for our SIXTH ANNUAL bootcamp birthday celebration. We celebrate each year of fitness and fun in the form of an adult Field Day. We will have field-day type activities, games, and feats of strength. Check back here as it gets closer for details. The field day will be followed by a breakfast picnic. NEW THIS YEAR! Due to always having massive amounts of leftover food when we do potluck style breakfast, we are changing this to a BYOB individual breakfast picnic. Cake/cupcakes and coffee will be provided, otherwise please bring your own individual breakfast snacks (or walk to Sunrise Biscuit via the trail!) and join us on some picnic blankets for socializing. Field Day - 8:30am-9:30ish BYO Breakfast Picnic - 9:30ish-11:00ish Please try to RSVP by a few days out for planning purposes.
