Civil Rights Tour/Day Trip to Montgomery, Alabama -Feb.23rd

Details
You won’t want to miss our trip to visit the Birthplace of the modern Civil Rights Movement, site of Montgomery Bus Boycotts. While we’re in Montgomery, we’ll visit the Rosa Parks Museum, the Civil Rights Memorial & Center, and the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, which was the home church for Dr. Martin Luther King, and we’ll visit his parsonage home in Montgomery - which was bombed as he became the leader of the Civil Rights movement. This will be a great way to celebrate Black History Month! The cost for the sites are as follows: $7.50 for the Rosa Parks Museum, $2.50 for the Civil Rights Memorial, and $11.00 for both the Dexter Avenue Church and Martin Luther King's parsonage home. Tours of one or all 4 sites, or any combination, are optional.
We’ll depart by carpool at 9:00 a.m. from the I-HOP near Union Station (formerly Shannon) Mall, off I-85 South (Exit 64) and return to Atlanta by 6:00 p.m. (please be prepared to share in the carpool gas costs if you are not driving). Get a first hand look at the history and contributions of those who gave so much in the Civil Rights movement. Note: For planning purposes, and to receive event updates, please RSVP if you plan to attend.
