Friendly Functional Programming

This time we will look at Scala. Scala is a hybrid functional/object-oriented language with an advanced type system that runs on the JVM and thus has access to a vast ecosystem.

As always we will have two talks of about half an hour each. Abby Tejera (VP Engineering at Coya AG) will give a brief introduction to Scala and then Viktor Dychko (Backend Engineer at Coya AG) will tell us more about Actor systems and streaming in Scala.

Doors open at 18:30, talks start at 19:00.

Afterwards we will have an open hacking session/socializing.
