Introduction to CONFIDENT Speaking
Early Bird ticket available now at £20. Full price ticket £30. For many people, the idea of speaking in public can be daunting. Yet the ability to deliver your message by speaking in public is an important way to share your ideas, grow your confidence, and even support your business goals. This session is designed to provide you with a safe and supportive environment to start speaking in front of others and discover the public speaking skills you already have. You will be encouraged to take part in fun activities to develop confidence in public speaking including: - How to calm the nerves before delivering a speech - Using eye contact and body language to maintain rapport and develop confidence - Techniques to feel prepared when you are called upon to ‘think and speak on your feet’ (e.g. when you are asked your opinion in a meeting, only for your mind to go blank!) - How to plan a speech for maximum impact.
