What we're about

Did your college years long go and could not keep in contact with your classmates? Does familiarity breed contempt when it comes to work colleagues and can not catch up with them after work? Did you lose all or some of your friends because of Brexit? Did you never have any family member for whatever reason or did they die, so you feel so lonely on festive days and all you do is snuggle to your pets and eat the turkey you cook with your pet? Do you feel like you are ready to make REAL and RELIABLE friends who some consider are our chosen family and want to move heaven and earth for them when the right time comes? Are you wary of unreliable and fickle friends who are inclined to cut you off once they find a jealous girl/boyfriend? Do you like cooking and feeding people, but because of having no friends around, do you rather feel compelled to share your cooked meals with the homeless? With zero expectations, no concessions and no complaints, are you capable of maintaining a long friendship?

If you answer some of the questions positively, and if you think you are a real, a reliable and a transparent individual, then come and say hello to this platform.

White Water Rafting, Canoeing, Trekking, Hiking, Cliff Jumping & Camping

Let's go to the Highlands, the River Findhorn, one of the last wild rivers situated in the Monadhliath Mountains at 2800 feet, located to the south of Inverness and Loch Ness. During the day, there are all sorts of outdoor activities run by the Ace Adventures which has Qualified guides and was trained by the International Rafting Federation ranging from white water rafting, to canoeing, to kayaking to cliff jumping to paintball, to golf courses for which the prices are reasonable. Given the high water level in spring, April is the ideal month to do white water rafting and canoeing. There are bell tents and shepherd huts which have wood stoves installed in and comfortable mattresses. Alternatively, you can pitch your own tent and light up your own campfire, which I did last year. Wet suits, life vests, gloves, helmets and shoes are provided for all the activities involved in the river. There is a camp-kitchen in which you can cook your own meal, or roast your potatoes, tomatoes or anything you like on the fire pan provided in the site. Logs in 10 kg packs are also sold there if you forget to bring yours. The owner is New Zealander and he and his partner are always helpful. They did not give a second thought in jumpstarting my car when I had a flat battery. In the evenings, we can play instruments, (I will take mine), sing songs or tell stories around the campfire. Each site has their own campfire facility, so every tribe can stick to their own territory or can pay a visit to their neighbour's campfire. In case the sky becomes clear, I will also take my telescope for stargazing. Location-wise, it is second to none, despite being in the heart of wilderness, it is a secure and a family-friendly place. Last year, families with their kids participated in the white water rafting. On Sunday, on the way back home, we can stop by the beautiful Inverness and have a brunch together. As an experienced worldwide camper, I am happy to respond to any queries or help you in any way you need, be it lighting a fire or pitching your tent if you decide to bring your own camping equipments. The weather in April is either rainy, snowy or sunny with a flawless blue sky, so make sure you bring all your essentials, e.g sleeping bag, thick socks, boots, foot warmers, fire tinder sticks, torches, cooking utensils (pots, pans, cutlery). Last year I drove there with my summer tyres. Given the topography of the region, despite having a snowfall in the morning, it all melted away by the noon. PS: The dates are flexible, so we can change the date any weekend in April. https://aceadventures.co.uk/
