Trail Clearing Workshop

This grueling 90 minute workshop introduces the tools and safety practices for your next volunteer wilderness trail clearing project on the BRT, Kekekabic, Snowbank, or PWT.

Workshop participants are eligible to win a $25 Midwest Mountaineering gift certificate to be awarded at this event. The workshop is led by Martin Kubik. He has a PhD in Trail Clearing, :) and has conducted safe and effective trail clearing trips in the BWCA for more than 25 years.

During this grueling interactive workshop, Martin will cover:

• Trail clearing standards

• The tools used to clear trails

• Safety practices for handling trail clearing tools

If you are volunteering for the end of October PWT Clearing trip -please note that this workshop is a prerequisite for that trip.
