Make a Clean Start in 2022! Trash Pickup

Come spend some time in beautiful Gold Butte National Monument as we ring in the New Year by doing something nice for the desert!

We will meet at the junction of Gold Butte Road and Highway 170, caravan to the work site and spend some time picking up trash. Be sure and wear weather-appropriate clothing, a hat, closed toed shoes and sunscreen, and bring plenty of water and a lunch or snack for yourself. Desert weather can be fickle, so be prepared.

PPE and social distancing protocol will be followed, and we still aren't able to offer carpooling due to Covid-19. We'll be parking along the road, so you won't need 4WD or even high clearance, if you drive carefully.

FoGB will provide buckets and trash bags, but please bring your own gloves and wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.
