Name that Climbing Route
Welcome!
- Would you like to learn how to identify rock climbing routes from afar?
- Would you like to laugh at some of the names chosen for these routes?
- Would you like to learn about how to get started rock climbing in general?
Pack your binoculars and your fancy camera lenses and let's hike to the ideal location to view people rock climbing and rappelling on the South Face of Stone Mountain. The hike distance is about 1.5 miles each way with an elevation gain of about 400 feet. Last time we did the hike for this event it took about 30 minutes to reach the overlook. Please see the image below.
Meet at the Lower parking lot near the restrooms 5.45p to 6p.
