What we’re about
The Friends group was created in 2010 to preserve the former Maple Ridge Golf Course in Gloucester County, NJ as a nature park, rather than have it become a housing development. Now that Tall Pines State Preserve is a reality, we are working with park management to enhance this place of natural beauty and ecological diversity. Sometimes this is as simple as keeping litter picked up. We also will help turn the asphalt golf cart paths into well-marked trails that can be used for walking, jogging, cycling, and bird-watching. Join us as we work on projects to make this a great community-supported park for people as well as a great habitat for wildlife.
