Wild Acre Brewing Beer Tasting and "Thunder Hug" Taproom Release
Welcome to all! Let's meet for a casual and easy gathering at a fun place. They are releasing their whiskey barrel aged Imperial Stout "Thunder Hug" on Saturday, Jan. 20th. This beer hits you like booming thunder with a 13.7% ABV, and then makes you feel nice and warm inside like getting a hug from your loving mother with its hints of whiskey from the barrels it was aged in for over a year. They will be giving out exclusive glassware, so get there early! The brewery is located in the former Ranch Style Beans industrial complex behind The T (Fort Worth Transportation Authority) office headquarters. They have a nice beer garden and an award-winning tasting room. It's not crowded, there are no lines to wait in and parking is just outside the entrance. The servers are friendly and welcoming. There is a nice selection of craft beer. It's pet-friendly! New members, please know that we are a friendly bunch and you will be comfortable and welcomed here! "I guarantee it!" -gs Last call is at 5:45 pm (serving until perhaps until 6 pm). We can stay after-hours on the patio. $15 tasting fee allows 4, 16 oz. pours and a commemorative glass (Thunder Hug 13.7 % ABV will be a half-pour). Don't want four beers? Perhaps split the fee with someone who wants less. Possible $20 fee this time - will update when they advise. Non-beer-drinkers and designated drivers don't have to pay. They only serve beer. We can bring in our own food. Heim Barbecue food truck will be on-site. Award winning barbecue. This is a family-friendly and pet-friendly event. Invite a guest to join us! The forecast temperature for Saturday afternoon at 2 PM is 65 degrees Fahrenheit. From the Wild Acre Brewing Company website: The taproom is a heated 5,000 square foot space within an old and historic brick warehouse with spectacular views of both the adjacent brewery on one side, and a large landscaped outdoor beer garden on the other. The taproom has a 50-foot, brick and wood custom-designed bar, 24 taps, three televisions and a sound system. Please note that they only serve beer.
