If you are new to Frome, this may be a good place to start meeting new people. We have a growing membership and a variety of events, hosted by organisers who live in and around Frome. We welcome everyone, whether they have just arrived or have been resident in and around Frome for many years. Its great to be able to share and enjoy the rich mix of creativity, interest and activities which exist in the town!
Stony Street House billed as an "independent wine bar, restaurant and wine shop" have taken the former spot of Sam's Kitchen Deli. Their opening night is on Saturday 16 February. Fancy coming along? They only take bookings of six or more (a policy for all bookings). The menu is pizza based (will post when to hand). They will also do a set price for a group, so we could have up to 15. If you would like to attend, please RSVP as they need to know numbers soon!
Something new for 2019 for The Artisan under its young and newish management as well as for us in Frome Meetup. Following up on our recent fun at The Cornerhouse quiz I'm looking forward to getting a team or two together for this new venue as well!
The quiz master is looking for teams of 4 to 6 players and it would be great if we could muster two teams, so initially I'm provisionally setting a maximum of 10 for this event. There's an entry fee of just £1 per player. The quiz should start around 8:00 pm, and I look forward to welcoming you at the bar from around 7:30 or so.
If you don't already know The Artisan it's probably the second oldest inn building in Frome though you wouldn't guess it from the heavily and all too frequently rebuilt interior! If you're driving in then you can probably find somewhere free and legal to park right opposite in Christchurch Street, or just yards away up Weymouth Road.
