The First Front End Orlando CodePen Meetup of 2018!!

• What we'll do
We're excited to (finally) announce the first Front End Orlando CodePen meetup of the year! Things are going to be a little different, but in a good way, I promise.

This month we're going to be diving in to two topics: CSS Grid and Vue - and how you can get started using them both in CodePen in no time. These are two extremely useful things to learn and explore, and if you'd like to talk about them (or any other concept), feel free!

• Speakers!

Dwane will be talking about an awesome virtual DOM alternative - HyperHTML - which you can use in any project, including React. He'll show you how to get started with HyperHTML, how it compares to JSX, and some cool features with template literals.

Alex will be talking about Vue and showing you how to get started making your first Vue project on CodePen. It's ridiculously easy (even more so than React) and just as flexible and scalable - truly a very pleasant developer experience. ----------------------------------------

We're also going to be continuing with something we tried out at the last meet-up, CodePen Ask-and-Answers. It's sort of like show-and-tell, except that someone asks a question about how to do something or how to approach a specific problem/task, and someone who knows the answer explains it in CodePen!

The meetup this time will be held at IZEA. This way, parking is much easier, it's much more accessible to the wider Orlando developer community, and we don't have to fight with any ongoing events. We'll have CodePen swag to give away too, as well as food and drinks. 🍕
