REACT & ES6: A Match Made in Heavenby Dan Shappir, Wix.com

Both React and ES6 can provide a significant productivity boost for developing applications in JavaScript. When combined, this productivity boost is increased even more. In this session I conduct live-coding exercises that highlight how ES6 and React complement each other. We will see that together they reduce development effort, increase development velocity, and make the process more enjoyable.

Dan Shappir is a performance specialist at Wix.com in the Editor group. Dan is a twenty year software development veteran, holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science, and has spoken at numerous technical conferences.

Flexible State Management with MobX by Yoni Weisbrod, Ivy

Redux has caught on like wild fire, and in this talk I will present another state manager that is rapidly gaining a following. MobX offers amazing performance benefits without the structure or boilerplate requirements imposed by Redux or other Flux implementations. But it is a paradigm shift away from Redux and immutable objects, so there are some concepts to wrap your head around. In this talk I will go through MobX and its tiny API, and explain how it fits into React via observers and observables. I will also touch on real-world structuring patterns, since the library is so flexible.

Yoni Weisbrod is lead developer at Ivymark.com (http://ivymark.com/) and previously a full-stack consultant at 500tech. In another life, Yoni practiced intl. corporate law and holds a JD/LL.M.

Front-end automation using npm scripts by Nickolay Ribal, 90min

Modern front-end consists of many moving parts which must be glued together to help you build awesome apps. This is a practical guide to curing JavaScript task-runners' fatigue by using npm scripts!

Nickolay Ribal is Head of front end development at 90min.
