In the 1st part of this session you will learn:

• That just uploading your images is NOT ENOUGH!

• That uploading your images and adding 10 keywords is STILL NOT ENOUGH!

• That uploading your images and adding 25 keywords is STILL NOT ENOUGH!

Understanding how to correctly keyword the images you have uploaded to your online photo stock agency is critical to making sales. In this class we will look at keywording stock photography, and give tips and hints that will help you get those pictures under the eyes of photo buyers.

Why Should I Bother Keywording My Images?
You are a busy photographer - you don’t have time for this. Why should you bother keywording all those images? The answer is simple. If there are two similar photographs, the one with more relevant keywords is more likely—much more likely—to be found by a photo buyer than the one with a few, bad-chosen keywords.

Good keywording helps sell your images.
Without too much difficulty, the number of keywords that you can associate with a single image at the major stock sites numbers in the hundreds.

How your images are found online is the KEY TO YOUR SUCCESS! This is a tricky topic, because on the surface, it appears to be simple...but there is soooo much more to it!

Join us for this session to learn how your images can be found online

We are going to spend the 2nd half of the session going through my workflow and how I get my images from my camera and up for sale on my agencies. If you haven’t already drawn this conclusion, you will quickly note that doing things in the world of Stock Photography is unique.

It requires you to take your photography skills and use them in different ways. At times we know, it doesn’t seem logical, but in the long run you will find that the reasons and processes we do things the way we do, will save you time and effort. And allow you to shoot and upload lots of images to your chosen stock agencies.

As I stated above, you will find many things about the stock photography business very different, often times, frustrating and time VERY consuming…I know, I have been there!

But having a good workable process, that fits your style and time limits CAN MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in your stock photography business!

In this class you will learn…

• The fastest ways to get your images from your camera and up for sale on
your stock agencies

• Lightroom work flow (my recommendation)

• Tips and tricks from my lessons learned over the past several years

• Bring your computer, with Lightroom software loaded loaded

• 20 unprocessed photos in camera raw, that you have decided you want to process for stock photography sites

I will be providing detailed handouts, so you can follow along and take notes, so you can do this when you get home!

SPECIAL NOTE: To be successful in this class you need to have BASIC COMPUTER and IMAGE PROCESSING SKILLS! We are making the assumption that you know and shoot in CAMERA RAW, how to get your images from your camera to your computer and apply edits!

I have lived in Colorado for about 21 years now, I am proud to make it my home. I am a Marketing/Graphic Design professional who has worked my entire career helping individuals and corporations create impact with their marketing campaigns. I am very passionate about helping people and companies learn how to generate buzz about their products and services, especially these days when budgets and economic resources are always under fire.

My entire career, I have always been on the buying end of the stock photography world. I have vast knowledge and many years of experience, in the purchasing of images, for a wide range of usages in marketing campaigns, collateral and various other photographic scenarios. I have come to know, that the purchase and usage of photographic images is not only big business, but also a very misunderstood business by most people. It wasn’t until I began to sell my own images, and learned the struggles photographers have when embarking on making a living with their photography. THERE IS SOOOOO MUCH TO KNOW, about the licensing/purchasing of photographic images. This is one of the reason why Taking Stock Images Photography was created, to assist photographers in learning about the in’s and out’s of the business of selling your work.

As of April 2017, I have close to 62,500 images on line, across 9 different stock agencies. I continue to learn more and more about the world of photography, and my stock photography portfolio continues to grow in size and income! I continue to make Taking Stock Images Photography a community of photographers who are not only passionate about their work, but assist them in learning about how to create a home-based business, that will serve them now and down the road when their full time employment ceases. It seems these days, our world is in a constant state of change, and creating your very own home-based business can become the one thing you control and create into your very own empire. This business is not an easy one, and it will require time, effort and “sweatequity” on your part. But the sky’s the limit, you CAN create a business with something you love and are very passionate about. Looking forward to meeting you soon, and helping you learn about the world and business of stock photography!
