Simon Owen (https://twitter.com/s10wen)
Simon is a Front-End Developer from Manchester, England. Simon organises @mcr_fred, a friendly monthly meetup for Front-End Developers. In 2015 he was involved with his first conference @upfrontconf and when not at a computer likes to clear his mind hiking with @digihike.
Talk Description
Web development is getting increasingly difficult with more devices to test and emerging technologies every day. In his talk Simon will be giving you a sneak peak into his workflow to help aid with the growing complexity of web development. Expect time saving tips, shortcuts, automation, dotfiles, build tools and style guides.
Mitch Ward (https://twitter.com/_mitchward)
Mitch is a front end developer working at McCann Birmingham, and has been in the industry for 6 years.
Talk Description
With the rate at which websites change these days, the code behind them can quickly become a tangled mess of
s and !important declarations. I will cover the benefits of writing modular CSS, the various patterns which can be used, and a few tips to take away.
Parking:
The Little Church street (https://www.rugby.gov.uk/directory_record/220/little_church_street_car_park) car park opposite the venue is free from 7pm. Alternatively, there is plenty of free parking around Rugby. We recommend Horton Crescent (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/52%C2%B022).
Train:
We're located about 15-20 minutes walk from Rugby Train Station.
Thanks to our sponsors Propeller Communications (http://propcom.co.uk/) and Kirby CMS (https://getkirby.com) for this event.
