Although not nearly as famous as Chelsea, the Upper East Side art district has a huge number of galleries. And it is definitely the place to go if you want to see works by "big name" artists.

You know who I mean. The ones whose fame has spread beyond the art world to the general public. The ones you expect to see in major museums more than art galleries.

On this tour, we will (with perhaps one or two exceptions) focus on exhibits featuring one or more of these super-famous creators. Here is a partial list (subject to change without notice):

Our itinerary will include 5-8 shows pre-selected by the host, in a variety of media, with an exclusive presentation by a gallerist at some stops.

IMPORTANT:

- Emergency contact for "day of" is (917) 680-0656 if you are late or lost. The voicemail greeting will list our first one or two stops. For all other info, send an "old-fashioned" text directly to my number. Do NOT attempt to reach me via email, Meetup, Ticketleap or any other Internet-based channel, as those methods are not reliable on my phone.

- If you have bought a ticket but cannot attend, you have two options. To get a credit toward a future art tour or walk, notify me via direct (not Internet-based) text, voice call, or voicemail. This must be done BEFORE the listed start time so that the group does not get stuck waiting for you. Alternatively, you can send someone in your place; at check-in, simply have him or her mention the name under which you paid.

- Sorry, no refunds unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

- The tour will last two to three hours. Afterward, we may go somewhere nearby for drinks, food and socializing if there is interest.

- Art novices are welcome, as are people with extensive art backgrounds.

- This event was created specifically for members of my Meetup groups and private email lists, their guests, and special invitees.

- Please note that the total RSVP count includes people coming from other Meetup and non-Meetup groups. It is manually updated every 12 - 48 hours and is NOT an arbitrary number. However, also remember that "no-shows" can never be accurately predicted.

Guided Conversations for Singles is a fresh, fun, low-pressure twist on speed dating.

Youll still meet singles face to face in short, structured rounds, use a scorecard to note who youre interested in, and receive your match results after the event.

The difference? We make the conversations easier.
Instead of trying to come up with the perfect thing to say, each round includes a guided conversation question to help break the ice. Some questions are light and playful, while others help you learn a little more about the person sitting across from you.

NOTE: You have the option to pass on any question you do not like.
Youll meet each person of the opposite gender for approximately 4-6 minutes. After each round, youll mark your scorecard if youd like to connect again. The men then rotate, and the process continues.

Match results, including one-way matches, will be provided by the next morning.
