Fuckup Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share business failure stories. Hundreds of people attend each event to hear three to four entrepreneurs share their failures. Each speaker is given 7 minutes and is able to use 10 images. After each speaker, there’s a question/answer session, as well as time for networking (beers).

Kat van Duinen
After relocating to Cape Town from Europe, Polish designer Kat van Duinen’s passion for effortless elegance saw the birth of her eponymous label in Cape Town in 2010, which has since grown to become an iconic fusion of her European heritage and love for the richness of South Africa – a place she now calls home.

Jason Newmark & Chelsea Evans
Co-founders of Plan My Wedding & The CES Collection. Plan My Wedding is Southern Africa's first online wedding planning platform, allowing couples from anywhere in the world be able to plan their own wedding from anywhere in the world. Last year the couple appeared on the hit TV show Shark Tank and secured two Shark Investors and now business partners.

Stuart Shapiro
Stuart Shapiro is the founder of BrandRocket (Pty) Ltd, a marketing firm using social media printing within the event, retail and brand activation space. Before devoting his full-time to BrandRocket, Stuart worked in Scotland in 3d animation, was a renowned photographer and a partner of a startup, The Imagineers. Stuart has a background in engineering, 3d animation, photography and a lifelong interest in tech. Stuart is a workaholic, and he loves it.

Dayo Elegbe
Dayo is CEO and Founder of Sponge Africa, a mobile first full service digital marketing agency. Dayo moved to Lagos, in 2008, after working for several years in the digital marketing space in the UK (delivering campaigns for the likes of Heineken, British Airways, Ericsson Enterprise, and News International).
