I am in the process of finalizing the menu for our Halloween Party later this month (SO EXCITED!!!)....details to come!
In the meantime, let's talk about what I have planned for us in November.
We recently visited "Under The Table Restaurant" for dinner, and I loved it! (check out the photos HERE! (https://www.meetup.com/Full-Belly-Tight-Budget-Money-Conscious-Foodies/photos/24745452/)) The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the service was awesome (love you Kim!) So, I contacted Kim and asked her if the chef (hi Betty!!!) could make us (MY GROUP->YOU GUYS) fried chicken and waffles for our brunch. And the chef said, "OH YEAH! ANYTHING FOR ITANNI AND HER GROUP!" Ok....so maybe not exactly THOSE words, but I am sure they were thinking them. ;)
So yeah baby, we are getting fried chicken and waffles. Yum---one of my favorite things to eat, yet so hard to find in Toronto. All I want is juicy chicken with a crispy exterior, on a moist waffle with simple maple syrup on the side (I want control over the syrup!) Nothing fancy. You know me, I just want it to be kept simple, but done RIGHT!
....ok, I know that not everyone likes chicken AND waffles (savory and sweet together??? ICK!)....well for you, there will be plenty of other options....
For example: eggs Benny with smoked salmon & avocado hollandaise sauce with homefries or house salad... OR

So are you in????? Let's do this!
**There will be a $2 charge for this event. The fee goes towards Meetup membership fees (yes, there is a cost to run this group--Meetup.com charges a fee). In addition to what Meetup.com charges, there is also the work I do to make events happen (research--a lot of it!, calling restaurants, negotiating menus/reservations/deals with chefs and management, answering emails (complaints/concerns/queries) from members and external parties. Etc...

Meetup Etiquette:
If you RSVP “yes” and change your mind about attending, please update your RSVP. If you are bumped from the waitlist to a "yes", the assumption is that you are available since you had not removed yourself from the waitlist.
Those who RSVP “yes” are expected to show up.
You are expected to be at the event on time. In situations where you are late and the restaurant is full, your seat will be given away and not held, so please be on-time.
Attendance will be taken at all events and “no shows” will be tracked.
A person may be removed from the group for repeatedly being a “no show”. If you are no-show and do not contact the organizer about your absence, you will not be able to RSVP to future events without the organizer's permission.
A person who changes their RSVP to “no” with less than 5 hours before the start of an event without a good reason will be considered a “no show”.
A person who just briefly shows up at the event but does not stay at the restaurant for the meal will still be considered a “no show”.
PLEASE PLEASE tip! Sadly in the past people have not tipped or paid what they owed. I realize that one bill is a pain in the butt and tedious, but with such a large group, this will often be the case. In good faith I am trusting that you will add the tax and tip to your total and pay accordingly. If you are unhappy with an aspect of your meal or service, please let me know in advance so that I can do my best to rectify it with the restaurant. It's rude to not pay what you owe.
See you soon!!!
