No Plug-ins: Making Real Games & Interactives for HTML5 & Javascript

Details
Full Stack Everywhere (Boston Chapter) welcomes Jordan Bach, Senior Developer at FableVision Studios, who will take you on the detailed process of making a full blown interactive/gaming application with a pure HTML5/Javascript front-end. Using as an example the award-winning game Quandary-- co-developed by FableVision and Learning Games Network-- this case study will share code and project tips from a recent complete rebuild of an existing Adobe Flash browser application into a full-stack real-time cross-browser plug-in-free version.
Jordan will cover back-end and front-end techniques including a comparison of using open-source libraries such as PixiJS ( http://www.pixijs.com/ ) and CreateJS ( https://createjs.com/ ).
Hors d'oeuvres and softdrinks will be served, sponsored by FableVision.
