We're glad to be able to offer you a workshop on Fullstack Application development using JavaScript with Tamas Piros (https://twitter.com/tpiros).
As the seats are very limited, please RSVP only if you're sure you can attend (please update if you cannot make it).
A laptop computer will be required to make the most of this hands on workshop.
Light food and refreshments will be provided. Please bring a laptop if you are able.

The workshop allows attendees to have hands on experience developing and architecting a full functioning, three-tiered application using JavaScript only throughout the stack.
The application will have a fronted component written in AngularJS, a middleware using Node.js and Express and finally a backend using a document based NoSQL database. Attendees will learn the benefits of using JavaScript at all layers, see how data services can utilise JSON documents as the main data format. This is the three tiered approach that the MEAN stack uses as well however in this workshop attendees will learn, and get hands on, with a NoSQL database that is enterprise ready - it has built-in features such as search (full text search, range queries, geospatial queries, stemmed searches and advanced, customisable search grammar) along with other features such as - but not limited to - built-in security, built-in JavaScript support and alerting capabilities.
Throughout the workshop attendees will get familiar with NoSQL as the lecture contains introduction to NoSQL for those who are completely new to the realm of document based databases as well as best practices around data modelling for documents. Furthermore attendees will walk away with knowledge of the best practices in creating Node.js application utilising the Express and AngularJS as well.
