In November we'll be at publisher Springer's office for a look at how they used Scala to build high traffic websites.
Just enough rope to hang yourself: Learning how to use Scala to create high traffic websites.
In early 2011 Springer embarked on a journey to create a high traffic website with a fun language backed with the JVM. Along the way we wrote lots of terrible Scala.
These are our war stories and how we have learnt not to suck, too much....
• Tuesday 26 November
• 6pm for a 6:45 start
• We'll be inside the developer's working area at 222 Gray's Inn Road, WC1X 8HB. Go to reception, and one of the team will meet you.
• There will be approximately 1 hour of talks and Q&A, followed by drinks and food.
