The small print
1. Profile name and photo
Meetup's first Community Guideline (https://www.meetup.com/guidelines/) is: 'Be real. Meetup profiles are intended to represent real people in a local area. Meetup member profiles must be honest and authentic.'
In order to comply with this, and ensure a safe and transparent group for all our members, new member requests must include their own name and photo on their profile.
If you RSVP for an event but your plans change, please ensure to change your RSVP to 'no'. This helps us when planning events, to know how many are due to attend - but is also very important where an event has an RSVP limit (e.g. where we've booked a table for a certain number of people) as it means your place at the event can be made available to another member, and we are not annoying the venue by having a number of no shows.
3. Group involvement
We encourage our members to get involved in the running of the group. So whether you have suggestions for new events, or are interested in hosting events yourself, feel free to message Amanda, the main Organiser, who would be happy to discuss further.
4. Community Guidelines
Fundee Socialising's mission is to be a fun, safe, inclusive and respectful group. We run the group in accordance with the meetup Community Guidelines (https://www.meetup.com/help/customer/portal/articles/865536-meetup-s-community-guidelines/), which can be found at https://www.meetup.com/help/customer/portal... members play a role in helping us with this mission, and we ask that our members are aware of the Community Guidlines, and act in accordance with them.
5. Have fun
Now that we've got the important info out of the way, we looking forward to seeing you at an event soon, and hope that you have Fun in Fundee.
We understand that sometimes when you are new to a group you can be nervous about attending events where you don't know anyone, so often the best thing is to sign straight up to and come to an upcoming event, and remember we have all been new at some point. We look forward to seeing you at an event sometime soon :-)
