Want to have some fun and make new friends in Dundee? Then Fundee Socialising is the place to be!
You may be new to the area, or you may just want to spice up your social life – either way this group aims to bring like minded people together to socialise and have fun.
We're a relaxed and informal group, open to anyone 18 and over, with no upper age limit.
Typical events will include meals, comedy nights, cinema trips, drinks nights, etc. Suggestions for new events are always welcome, and any member of the group can organise an event. There is no charge to join Fundee Socialising.
So if you fancy making some new friends and exploring what fun Dundee has to offer, why not give Fundee Socialising a try :-)
The small print
At some events, attendees will be asked to make a small donation (e.g. £1) towards the running of the site. This will always be made clear on the event listing, and new members will never be asked to make this donation on their first visit.
(Please note that Fundee Socialising make no profit on donations - we need to cover the meetup.com site costs of £10 per month, but make no profit beyond this. )
If you RSVP for an event but your plans change, please can you ensure to change your RSVP to 'no'. This helps us when planning events, to know how many are due to attend - but is also very important where an event has an RSVP limit (e.g. where we've booked a table for a certain number of people) as it means your place at the event can be made available to another member.
3. Group involvement
Any member of the group can get involved in organising events, and we're keen that members have opportunities to get involved. It's the members who make the group what it is, after all! Message Amanda, the organiser, if interested in organising, or if you have suggestions for the group.
We're all adults, so really this one is a given, but obviously just that it's important that we show respect for other members e.g. respecting their views if different from ours, no abuse on event comments, treating others like we'd like to be treated etc. This isn't meant to be patronising, and is really something that would usually happen naturally anyhow, but still important to keep in mind.
5. Have fun
Now that we've got the boring stuff out of the way - we're looking forward to seeing you at an event soon, and hope that you have Fun in Dundee :-)
