Trying to keep up with all of it can be challenging. So how can we guarantee a smooth developer experience? Paul Dragoonis - Software Consultant at Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) Talk: Delivering; Continuously Paul, a member of the Jenkins and PHP open source projects, will share his experiences of rolling out Continuous Integration pipelines, with a focus on recently doing this for OPG. We'll discuss strategic approaches taken to really get the most out of tools such as Jenkins, AWS and Docker. Jacob Clarkson - CTO at Amigo Talk: Let's build a portable cloud application! (LIVE DEMOS!! 30-40 minute talk) The Go team at Google recently released (24th July) Go Cloud, a project that aims to make Go the "language of choice for developers building portable cloud applications". But what is a "portable cloud application"? Are they worth building? We'll seek to answer these questions and more through building an example app in ~real-time.
