The Google Developer Group (GDG) Ann Arbor is a Meetup group for developers in the Google ecosystem based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This group features monthly technical meetings at the Arbormoon Software, Inc. office located downtown.
We mostly discuss developing Android apps, but topics may include machine learning, Google Cloud Platform, Firebase or other Google topics.
Developers new and old are all welcome to the group. We are welcoming to anyone who wants to learn more about the Big G.
PLEASE NOTE: This meeting starts at 6pm, half an hour earlier than our normal meetup time.
This event is co-hosted with the Ann Arbor Machine Learning meetup group (https://www.meetup.com/Machine-Learning-Data-Science-and-Industry/). Please RSVP at one or the other of the groups, but not both!
In this 2 hour tutorial, we will briefly introduce TensorFlow 2.0, then dive in to training neural networks. This tutorial is targeted at folks new to TensorFlow, and/or Deep Learning. Our goal is to help attendees get started efficiently and effectively, so they can continue learning on your own. Attendees will need a laptop with an internet connection, there is nothing to install in advance. Prior machine learning experience is not assumed. We will do our best to briefly introduce relevant concepts. The goal of our tutorial is not to teach you everything you need to know (of course), but to get you started and overcome any initial barriers, so you can continue learning on their own.
Josh Gordon works on the TensorFlow team at Google, and teaches Applied Deep Learning at Columbia University. He has over a decade of machine learning experience to share. You can find him on Twitter at https://twitter.com/random_forests.
Food will be provided by Arbormoon Software (http://www.arbormoon.com/) at 6:00, with the tutorial starting at 6:30.
