What happens when a Hackathon meets Garba?
    You get Garbathon!

Garbathon 2026 by GDG Ahmedabad is a Pre-DevFest Ahmedabad 2026 community event that brings together AI, creativity, collaboration, and a touch of Garba.

Garbathon is a mini hackathon + Garba experience where you’ll build AI solutions, work with a team, get guidance from experienced experts, showcase your prototype, and end the evening with Garba.
Whether you're an experienced developer, an AI enthusiast, a student, or simply someone looking to build and connect with the community, there's something for you.

    The Three AI Tracks
The problem statements will be revealed on the day of the event and will be based on these three themes:
    01 | AGENTS
Build AI agents that can reason, use tools, and take action to solve meaningful problems.
    02 | AUTOMATION
Build solutions that automate business workflows or other repetitive workflows using AI.
    03 | VOICE AI
Build voice-based AI solutions that can understand, converse, and take action.
Physical AI may also be part of the problem statements.

    Mentoring & Guidance
GDEs and industry experts will be available during the hackathon hours to provide guidance and mentorship. Get a chance to connect directly with them, ask questions, and learn from their experience.

    Demo, Judging & Winners
After the hackathon, we'll select the Top 10 teams to demo their solutions to the judges.
Based on the judging, we’ll announce:

    • Winner
    • First Runner-Up
    • Second Runner-Up

    And that's not all.
We'll also have fun micro-winners across different categories, such as:

    • Quickest Submission
    • Creative Submission Name
    • Most Taali-worthy Demo
    • And more surprise categories

    Garba with a Twist
Once the hackathon and judging are done, it's time to put away the laptops and bring out the Garba spirit.
A Garba Warm-up Session will help everyone get started, so even if you've never done Garba before, you can join in.
No prior Garba experience required. Just come ready to have fun.
Dress Code: Traditional or Navratri wear is mandatory for everyone participating in the Hackathon.
