Cloud Run Club LA

Cloud Run Club is an event for developers to learn about Cloud Run, serverless and container technologies. Attendees will meet Googlers and other community members while getting hands on with Cloud Run. The event will include tech talks, hands-on labs, an optional 5k fun-run and food and drinks.

Cloud Run Workshop
90 min • Kevin Nelson (Google Cloud Developer Advocate)
As a Developer Advocate, Kevin is focused on machine learning and enterprise strategic partners. He speaks frequently at developer-focused events around the world. Before joining the Cloud team, he was a lead Product Manager on Google Drive for two years. Prior to joining Google in 2014, Kevin was a successful serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building and managing software and SAAS companies. In his free time, Kevin is an avid traveler, sailor, brewer and history buff who loves stargazing and studying the Age of Exploration. Mr. Nelson received his degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine.

Kevin will introduce Cloud Run and everyone will have the opportunity to get their hands on the product through a self-paced Qwiklabs course.

Optional Fun Run
30min - 45min • Run Leader

The optional fun run is an inclusive, open to all levels, journey along Venice Beach; there will be a 5k route for the runners and 3k route for those who may prefer to walk. Connect with other developers while enjoying a scenic run. You are also more than welcome to stay at Google to continue working on the Qwiklabs course.

Networking Reception

As runners return to our venue, our cohort will reunite with food, drinks and further conversation. Take the opportunity to connect with your community members or refuel after a lovely fun run and of course, to give away prizes! We 25 $100 GCP coupons to give away and everyone will receive a Run Club T-shirt. The first 25 to arrive will also receive a Cloud Run sweatband, so make sure to arrive promptly. And don't forget a laptop!
