Yoni Gross' Bio:

Software Engineer at Wix mobile team. Developing software for more than 10 years, last 6 of them are focused on mobile. Built and maintained various libraries - from open source libraries, through a dedicated plugins for 3rd parties, to SDKs installed on millions of devices.

Developing Android SDKs and libraries:

Building libraries or SDKs is somewhat different from building apps - your users may not only use your product wrong (and ask you for support), but they’ll also discover bugs, abuse it, and fork it or reverse-engineer. However, it’s your job to make their life as easy as possible while protecting them from theirselves, your library from them, and most important - their apps from your library.

We’ll talk about best practices, tooling, philosophy, and common pitfalls of every stage in Android library development - from general API design to packaging and distribution, covering many areas such as security, performance, resource management, build scripts, and other various Android consideration
