Join us for a beginner-friendly hiking weekend in the New Forest National Park, one of the most beautiful national parks in the UK. This guided autumn walk is perfect for hikers looking to explore peaceful forest trails, spot wild ponies, and enjoy the rich colours of the season.
We’ll hike from Brockenhurst across woodland and heathland, past cider orchards, thatched cottages, and ancient trees. Once a royal hunting forest under William the Conqueror, the New Forest is now home to deer, rare birds, and iconic free-roaming ponies.
This walking weekend from London includes two days of easy-paced hikes, dinner in a country pub, overnight stay in a countryside hostel and breakfast.

ITINERARY: (subject to minor changes)
Saturday: Arrive at Brockenhurst Station around 10:05We will hike through the woods and commons, exploring an arboretum with absolutely majestic giant trees to our overnight accommodation. Dinner at a nearby gastropub.

Sunday: After breakfast, we will strike out and explore more of the forest. We will hike back to Brockenhurst where you can take the train back to Waterloo, or you are welcome to explore the village and its many charming pubs.

COST: £165 organiser fee pay on RSVP.

COST INCLUDES: Two days guided hikes with qualified hike leader, one night hostel accommodation in hostel / dormitories, breakfast Sunday morning. Dinner on Saturday evening at local pub.

# Surrey Hills Hike – Gatton Park, Reigate Fort & Epsom Downs Racecourse 🌳🥾

A picturesque route through the Surrey Hills AONB with rolling trails, heritage spots, and sweeping views across the Weald. We wander the landscaped gardens of Gatton Park 🌿 before striding the North Downs escarpment. Explore Reigate Fort (1898 London Defence Scheme) 🏰 and climb to Colley Hill 🔭 for big panoramas.
We continue to the secluded hamlet of Mogador for a relaxed lunch stop 🥪, then cross Banstead Heath and amble through Walton on the Hill. The finale sweeps over Epsom Downs Racecourse with a behind-the-Grandstand loop for a 🌆 London skyline moment—perfect for a celebratory drink 🍻 before trains home.

🥾 Leith Hill Circular Hike – Surrey Hills Woodland & Countryside Trails
Join GO London Hiking for a full-day adventure exploring the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From Dorking station, our circular route ascends gradually through woodland before joining the Greensand Way.
We’ll pass through the charming hamlet of Friday Street before reaching the highlight: Leith Hill, the highest summit in southeast England at 294m. Here we’ll stop for lunch by the iconic Gothic Leith Hill Tower, enjoying sweeping views across the Weald and, on a clear day, to London and the South Coast. The descent leads us past Duke’s Warren and the springs feeding the River Mole, before crossing the ponds at Westcott and returning to Dorking.

### Evening Social Walk Along the Thames

Join us for an atmospheric evening walk tracing London’s story through its bridges — from Westminster to Tower Bridge. We’ll follow the Thames eastward past Parliament, Westminster Bridge, and the Victoria Embankment, discovering tales of rebellion, invention, and empire.
Along the way, see Cleopatra’s Needle, Waterloo Bridge (rebuilt by women during WWII), and cross to the South Bank for Shakespeare’s Globe, the Clink Prison, and the Golden Hinde. Each bridge reveals a chapter of London’s past — from Blackfriars and Southwark Bridge to London Bridge and our grand finale, Tower Bridge, a masterpiece of Victorian engineering and one of London’s most iconic sights.
A relaxed, story-filled evening walk through centuries of London’s riverside life.
