Kyrylo Stokoz - Reimplementation of a Backend Service: From Akka to Golang and back

Abstract
In this talk, Kyrylo will share experience of re-implementing a backend service from Akka Actors to GoLang and finally with Akka Streams.

He'll mostly focus on the lessoned learned and tricks of using Akka Streams and how it helped us to get manageable, highly scalable service which serves thousands of transactions per second.

Bio
Kyrylo Stokoz is Sr Software Engineer working for HERE in Berlin. He is leading the team responsible for developing/ maintaining the high-performance backend service. He is an experienced developer that has specialized in Scala development over last five years. He is passionate about well-crafted software, particularly in functional and strongly-typed direction.
