DevOps Lessons Learned from the FMK (Fællesmedicinkort) System

Abstract
This talk is for developers who want to decrease the amount of adrenaline spilled on deploying software to production. In the session we will share their experience of running a 24/7 highly available production systems at FMK and discuss why we have chosen to run a devops driven implementation. Get a few tricks on how to stop disaster before it kicks off and learn why you should know the feeling of the hum from your system.

Profiles
Thomas is a software developer at Trifork where he develops the FMK project on behalf of sundhedsdatastyrelsen. His main focus is keeping the system running with no down time during all kinds of changes. He has been working in devops teams the last 10 years. Thomas holds a Msc degree in electrical engineering from Aalborg university. His interest is on running software as smoothly as possible - keeping the customer happy.

Peter is a software developer at Humio working on making the next generation of log-management tools for DevOps teams. He has 10 years of experience doing backend software development as well as operating these systems. Peter holds a Msc degree in computer science from Daimi (Aarhus university).
