Abstract
Implementing Agile and Lean in your organization influences almost all organizational layers and processes. With so many people and processes involved it is not surprising that quite a few mistakes and misunderstandings find their way into the daily work of those involved. Sometimes they are minor issues - causing a few ripples and other times they are quite serious with the potential to cause dramatic economic consequences. In this presentation I will touch upon the most common misunderstandings about Agile and Lean I have seen during the past 11 years in the field. Topics will include things like: Utilization, scaling vs. transformation, cross-functional teams, Kanban, estimation and forecasting, WIP, Scrum ceremonies, The Scrum Master role, VSM, Self-organization, Hire and Fire, Flow, Feedback and the mythical Velocity.
