2nd talk: Team Drive
Abstract
Stupid developers! After countless team building sessions, dinners out and Agile coaches telling them to self-organize they are still not engaged and pulling as a team. They have the perfect office, great lunch, all skills needed in the team, all the fruit they can eat and the support of the entire organization. Still those Primadonnas are just goofing off and look nothing like the high performance team I ordered.

Well, let's drop the High Performance team kliché. It sounds cool but really it is just an easy way for expensive consultants (like me) to sell more hours by telling you that you are not there yet. Team drive and shared engagement is rarely a matter of more team building sessions, StandUp meetings or unrealistic Sprint Commitments. In this interactive session we will look at the essential but often overlooked elements needed to drive shared team engagement. It starts with basic elements like purpose, mastery and close customer collaboration and it is both harder and easier than you might think. Come along and be inspired, challenged and maybe a bit provoked.
