What we're about

Genesee Regional Off-Road Cyclists (GROC) is a nonprofit organization that promotes off road cycling through advocacy and the construction and care of shared use trails in Rochester, NY and surrounding areas. If you are someone that likes to ride mountain bikes, work on trails, and advocate for new shared use trails, this group is for you! Though our organization has members, all our events are free and open to everyone. This meetup also serves as a community forum to post group mountain bike rides, so some rides will not be “official” GROC rides. If a group ride has the word “GROC” in the title, it’s a ride hosted by GROC.

Little Rippers Ride

Dryer Road Park

The Little Rippers group ride is targeted at getting kids (and their parents) stoked about mountain biking by providing a venue where kids can find friends to share good times in the dirt on two wheels. The target ages are 7-12 but we’ve seen kids as young as 4 hang and there will probably be older kids along helping out or off riding on their own.

The rules are simple.
1) Every kid has a guardian on the trail with them who is responsible for their safety
2) Everyone needs a helmet, a bike in working order and a good attitude
3) Please visit Dryer with your little ripper at least once before your first ride to get a feel for the trails
4)Please fill out the waiver on the GROC website in advance. https://www.mygroc.com/groc-trail-rides/

Depending on who shows up we’ll break up into 2 or 3 groups of similarly skilled riders and ride for about 90 min. We want to roll no later than 5:30 so please show up at or before 5 to unrack your bikes, get ready, meet the group and talk a little smack.
