NOTE: $6.00 paid parking in effect (payable online ONLY).

Please bring your cell phone to scan the barcode in the parking lot.
You will want to arrive a few mins early to get this done.

Payment is made through the Hotspot App. You should download the app before arriving.

Walker Woods is another beautiful hiking area up near the Uxbridge area. This is an intermediate hike. There are some sections with hills that will get your heart rate up.

Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. Chances are there will be mud and even some snow.

Walker Woods Trailhead Parking Lot off Concession Road 7 near Uxbridge (https://goo.gl/maps/beVD2rNnwy4CWKxr8). There is a parking lot just off the road.

We leave for the hike at 9:05am SHARP.

Winter Hiking Season Information:
Please note that as we get into winter hiking with snow and slippery trails, we consider proper Crampons to be mandatory.
The event host can ask you not to participate if you don't have proper footwear including Crampons. More Crampon Information.

Please join us for a hike at Greenwood North!

We will hike at a moderate pace for 8 kms in just under 2 hours hrs.

The trail weaves throughout the forest and returns along a river. There will be lots of twists and turns and ups and downs with exposed roots along an established mountain bike trail.

Please bring sturdy hiking boots or shoes, and 1L of water.

Greenwood Conservation is a great spot for a hike. Just 20 minutes east of Toronto, this park offers you a chance to escape to nature along the banks of Duffin's Creek. Hiking trails allow you to explore the forest of the steep-sided river valley.

Wear your Santa Hat!

Make sure you join us for this special Christmas & Santa Hat hike as we celebrate the season and winter hiking. We have a few other things you can take part in:

This year we are supporting SOCKs, (https://www.sockswarminghearts.com/) and am asking everyone to bring a package of socks which we will be donating to the local SOCKs chapter. Last year, we donated 2 bags full of socks, so would love to top that this year!

We will also be asking everyone to donate $10 towards the upkeep of this Meetup Group. Most of our events through the year are free, but you can reach out and help us to keep this Meetup group going. You can bring cash or feel free to e-transfer $ to ralfraser@gmail.com. Be sure to let me know your sending me $.

And the best part yet!!! When we get back from our hike, we will have some hot coffee and hot chocolate waiting with some Christmas treats to share and celebrate Christmas and the upcoming holidays with us.

Greenwood North is a great spot for a Hike. This is a beginner/intermediate hike. We will be going into the back trails where there could be mud, so dress accordingly.

Please note: THIS HIKE STARTS AT 9:30AM

Parts of the trail can get muddy from the rain. Be prepared.
