Let's go to the Medieval Festival in Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights. After 2 years of being on hiatus, the Medieval Festival is back. Join us for the Medieval Festival in Fort Tryon Park! This festival brings to life the customs and spirit of the Middle Ages.
This will be a multi-group event with the following Meetup groups attending:
NYSP+ (New York Street Photography Plus)
#1 New York Shyness and Social Anxiety Meetup Group
There will be a large number of RSVPs and probably a large number of members actually attending. You can expect the main group to break up into smaller groups. All we ask is that you enjoy yourselves. This is a great opportunity to make connections, mingle, and get to know other members. If you as an attendee feel comfortable exchanging information with each other for the purposes of communication during the event, please feel free to do so.
The festival includes thrilling jousts between knights on horseback, jesters, stage performances, arts, crafts, mead, and of course the turkey leg yum. Experience the culture of a bygone era against the backdrop of The Met Cloisters and the Hudson River during autumn. Fun times for all and plenty of subjects to practice your photography on. This free event is produced by NYC Parks and the Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation with support from the Fort Tryon Park Trust.

Let's play board games at Hex and Co on the Upper East Side on a TUESDAY Night!
There is a $10 entry fee to play at Hex & Co. ($5 if you are a student). Hex & Co has a whole wall of games and also has a cafe-bar serving food and drinks!
NEW for this event: We have to pay GTBN's semi-annual dues to Meetup.com. This event will be a "Fundraiser" to pay the cost of the dues! When you RSVP, Meetup will charge you a $2 fee which will go towards paying our dues. This fee will NOT be refunded if you are unable to attend.
As always, if you cannot come, please update your RSVP so that someone else can come! (As best you can; I understand that stuff comes up last minute!)
Covid-19 Warning/Disclaimer: The event is INDOORS (please take precautions such as social distancing and mask wearing). Attend at your own risk and be on your best disease prevention behavior!
