What we're about

The Gainesville Front-end web development meetup is a safe, inclusive place where newbies and veterans can come together in an informal setting to discuss, learn, and laugh about front-end development. We meet every third Thursday to discuss JavaScript, CSS, HTML, web development tooling, and more. All skill levels are welcome! Afterwards, we'll head over to a restaurant/bar for some socializing and some 🍕🍻 :)

June Frontend Developers Meetup

Blount Hall

For June, we have two excellent talks scheduled!

First up is "SEO for web developers" brought to you by Grace de la Mora and Jacqui Hart. They'll walk you through how Google ranks your website and takes into account metatags, semantic HTML, keywords, performance and more!

Second up, we're doing a round of website audits, starting with Aram Perez's embedded "robot control" website. We'll look at various websites and audit them for performance, accessibility, and best practices. Along the way, you'll learn new tools and techniques that you can take home to your own websites.

Time permitting, we'll have show-and-tells after the talks, where anyone can show off something in front of the group, or ask for help!

Afterwards, we'll walk down the street to Looseys Pub and continue our conversations over food and drink!
