What we're about

The Gainesville Front-end web development meetup is a place where newbies and veterans can come together in an informal setting to discuss, learn and laugh about front-end development. We meet every third Thursday to discuss JavaScript, CSS, HTML, web development tooling, and more. All skill levels are welcome! Afterwards, we'll head over to a bar for some socializing and some 🍻🍻 :)

Two amazing presentations in July! First presentation: Web Components in 2019: Is this the year they start to fulfill their promise? John Tucker walks you through what Web Components are, how to use them, how to create them, and most importantly what they are not. In addition, will explore several important related third-party libraries. Second presentation: I didn't know CSS could do that! by Mike Herchel. Mike will talk you through newer features of CSS that enable new design paradigms! Afterwards, we'll head across the street for drinks and chat!
